Healing Sri Lanka, The Benefit concert and G-VO Album Release

June 22nd 2009 Pasadena California, John Baptist Records recording artist, Rajeev Nandakumaran (aka G-Vo), will be releasing his second album, Zer0 & 1ne, with a theatrically driven concert backed by a band and orchestra. A faithful brother in Christ Rajeev is a Sri Lankan-American artist who has a great and a deep love for his motherland Sri Lanka. Though he posseses magnificant talent, his main focus is not entertaining the crowds but to proclaim the word of God and lend a hand to the needs of others. Youth for Christ since 1976 in Sri Lanka and a Bible expositor
with a worldwide ministry.

Studied at Asbury Theological Seminary and Fuller Seminary,
Dr. Fernando is a lecturer in Colombo Theological Seminary,
Lanka Bible College, Tyndale Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Also the vice Chairman of South Asia Graduate School of Theology.

Monthly Prayer Meetings : in Santa Clarita, CA

Let us join and liftup the President Mahinda Rajapakse and the Government Leaders in Prayer. As good citizens & friends of Sri Lanka and caring Christian believers, nomatter which political stand we may have, we do have a ultimate social and a spiritual responsibility to care for our government Leaders. We are to pray that God would intervene and trust that God is in control nomatter what. Let us pray that God will proclaim His goodness through everything. Similar to the theme of US National Day Prayer ( www.christiannewswire.com/news/668366352.html ) ,
let God be our Mother Lanka's Strength and Shield.

Prayer Cell For Displaced Innocent Tamil Civilians

Let us urgently pray for innocent Tamil Sri Lankans who are being displaced and striving to start back their lives after brutal era of war. Pray that many hurtful hearts will be restored with love and peace and their past hurtful experiences may see a spiritual restoration. We pray that majority of Sri Lankans will continue to be heavily involved in lending hands to the affected Tamils and will take the forefront of this restoration process. This would be highly effective in building trust and faithfulness between both Sinhalese and Tamil groups. We pray that ultimately, Peace and Harmony will truly reign in the hearts of every single Sri Lankan worldwide. We will be holding an all night prayer vigil and a full day fast and prayer for these Tamils who are helplessly caught in the midst.

Soldiers' and Refugee Family Gift Drive

We will be collecting dry food items, clothing, toys, school supplies to be sent to the needy families of the Soldiers of War and Refugee families. We will be collecting these items throughout the year and shipments will be sent out to Sri Lanka every 6 months.
